Most people leave perspective out because it feels like geometry homework. Alexandra teaches it as a painting class instead: one idea at a time, then a cosy scene that uses it straight away.

Why your drawings still look flat
Shading can only take a drawing so far. The moment you draw a shelf, a room or a street, the angles have to agree with each other, and if nobody ever showed you why, the picture tips over and you cannot tell which line is wrong.
These three classes give you the why. You learn where the horizon line sits, how lines run to a vanishing point, and how size and colour push things back into the distance.
Every idea goes straight into a painting, so by the end you have five finished scenes and a way of building space you can use in anything you draw next.
Three classes that build on each other
Linear perspective first, then one point, then two. Each class recaps what came before, so nothing depends on remembering a rule from weeks ago.

Theory in plain words
Horizon line, vanishing point, size and colour: Alexandra explains each one with a quick drawing before you need it, so the rules make sense instead of being memorised.

Learn it, then paint it
Every idea goes straight into a project. You sketch the lines, block in colour and finish a cosy scene, the same afternoon you learned the rule behind it.

Worksheets for every step
Each class comes with worksheets, a brush pack and colour palettes, so you practise on Alexandra's grids instead of setting up your own.
Paint 5 scenes with real depth
One rule at a time, each one finished as a painting you would actually show someone.

A forest with a horizon
Your first scene uses linear perspective: a horizon line, trees that shrink as they go back, and a palette that pushes the distance away.

A cabinet, a room and a street
Three one-point projects: a piece of furniture, a cosy room and a street view with a neon bike shop, sketched on a grid and painted with Alexandra's brushes.

A bunk-bed hideaway
The two-point class ends with a magical bunk-bed hideaway lit by fairy lights, after practice from a bird's eye and a worm's eye view.
Your instructor
Let me show you how to add space to your art
Hi, I'm Alexandra Fintova, an illustrator, designer and art teacher with a Master's degree in Art Education. I've taught 80,000+ students, and most of them turned up convinced they were not the sort of person who could draw.
Perspective is the topic people tell me they skip, because it was taught to them as rules without reasons. I break it into small, doable pieces and explain why each line goes where it goes, so you can work it out on your own drawing.
You can follow me step by step, or take the project somewhere of your own. Pause, rewind and redo a lesson as often as you like. Half an hour a day is enough to keep going.

What you can do by the last lesson
Three mini-classes, in the order I would teach them.
Find the horizon line: place the viewer's eye level in any scene and keep everything consistent with it.
One-point perspective: draw furniture, rooms and streets that run to a single vanishing point.
Two-point perspective: draw objects on a corner, from straight on, from a bird's eye or from a worm's eye view.
Depth with colour: build palettes and use size and colour to push things into the distance.
Finished scenes: take a sketch on a perspective grid all the way to a lit, painted illustration.
Perspective is easier on an iPad
On paper, a perspective grid means rulers, construction lines and a lot of erasing. In Procreate the guide lines sit on their own layer, and you switch them off when the painting is done.
Undo costs nothing, so you can try a vanishing point in three places before you commit, and zoom in to fix one window frame without losing the whole street.
Prefer Photoshop or paper? Alexandra says the classes work there too, and the theory is the same.

FAQs

No. We start from the very beginning and never assume you've drawn before. If you can hold an Apple Pencil and have Procreate on your iPad, you can follow along.
Any iPad from 2018 onward runs Procreate well. You don't need the newest model, just one that takes a pressure-sensitive Apple Pencil.
Yes, Procreate works best with a pressure-sensitive Apple Pencil (1st Gen, 2nd Gen, or Pro). The basic USB-C Pencil is less ideal for line weight and opacity.
The videos total 4 hours 40 minutes. Most Twotap students take longer than that because they stop and draw along, which is the point. Lifetime access means you set the pace, and a lot of people fit this into about 30 minutes a day.
It helps. Class 1 covers the basics the other two build on, and each later class starts with a short recap, so you can also jump into one-point or two-point perspective on its own.
Yes. Alexandra paints in Procreate on an iPad, but the theory and the projects work in Photoshop or with pencil and paper too.
You can watch on any device with a browser, but you'll want your iPad open to draw along. Many students watch a step, pause, then paint, or use a second screen for the video.
You're not alone. Join the private Twotap community on Facebook to ask questions and share progress, students and our team are active there. You can also email support@twotap.art anytime.
No. This is a one-time purchase with lifetime access. Buy once, revisit forever, including updates we add to the course.
Yes. We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. If it isn't the right fit, reach out to support@twotap.art within 30 days and we'll take care of a full refund.
Three classes: Entering Space (An Introduction to Perspective in Procreate), One-Point Perspective and Two-Point Perspective, 41 lessons in total, with worksheets, brushes and colour palettes for each.
