Children's Book Mastery
Illustrate a children's bookfrom characters to finished pages.
Learn the full process in Procreate: characters, scenes, pacing and pages you build as you go, with the technical steps handled clearly along the way.
A complete process, not scattered tips
Children's book work needs more than cute characters. You need a process that carries a story across pages.
We teach character design, scene building and page flow so your book takes shape as you learn, instead of leaving you with unfinished studies.
Technical setup, file habits and production details are covered so you can focus on the storytelling.
All three paths use the same workflow. All three end with a real, published book. This course gives you the exact blueprint, from the idea to the finished ebook.
What Makes This Actually Work
What makes this different from everything else you've tried:
You Learn The Complete Process
From the first idea to your published book, digital or printed. Story structure, character design, page layouts, illustration techniques, file prep, publishing platforms. The whole thing, in order, nothing skipped.
Your Book Gets Built As You Go
You're not doing random practice drawings. Every lesson moves your actual book forward. By the end, you have a finished book, not a folder of disconnected sketches.
We Handle The Technical Stuff
Canvas settings, color modes, DPI, export formats, the "boring stuff" that trips everyone up. We explain it in plain English so you don't mess it up at the finish line.
It Works For Any Skill Level
Never illustrated before? That's fine, we teach the techniques as you go. Already drawing but never made a book? We focus on the parts you're missing so you can finish.
You'll learn by doing
A little time each day is all it takes, and you’ll start seeing your story come to life faster than you think. Step by step, you’ll go from a blank page to publishing your very first finished book.

Week 1
You'll design your main character. The one kids will fall in love with. Map out your whole book - every page, every scene.

Month 2
Work through the rest of your pages at a comfortable pace. Your book will start looking more and more complete. Get that rush when you realize "this is actually happening."

Today
Get your brush sets and templates. Set up your first file correctly. Start thinking about your story.

Month 1
Complete your key illustrations. See your story coming to life on the page. Learn techniques that make your art feel warm and professional.

Month 3
Time for the finishing touches. Design your cover, prepare your files correctly, and upload everything to a publishing platform. Soon, your book will be finished. Get ready to share it with the world or keep it in the family.

Speaking at an Apple Store event about Procreate techniques
Why Children's Books Are Actually A Smart Business Move
Children's books never go out of season. Parents buy them for birthdays, holidays, bedtime, trips, and teachable moments, while grandparents, relatives, and teachers constantly need new reads for little ones.
Unlike other creative markets, you don't need a huge following to succeed. One well-made children's book can sell steadily for years if it solves a real need, from potty training to starting school to celebrating diversity, because parents actively search for these topics.
Most people who finish one book make another, then another, building a catalogue that earns while you create. This course gets your first book done. After that, whether you make one as a gift or build a whole series to sell, the workflow stays the same.

Any iPad from 2018 onward runs Procreate well. You don't need the newest model, a solid Apple Pencil, compatible iPad is enough.
Yes, Procreate works best with a pressure-sensitive Apple Pencil (1st Gen, 2nd Gen, or Pro). The basic USB-C Pencil is less ideal for line weight and opacity.
The videos total about 10 hours. Most Twotap students spend a bit longer drawing along, and that's the point. Lifetime access means you can go at your own pace. A lot of people fit this into about 30 minutes a day.
You can watch on any device with a browser, but you'll want your iPad open to draw along. Many students watch a step, pause, then paint, or use a second screen for the video.
